Where should sharps containers be located?
In accordance with OSHA guidelines, sharps containers must be easily accessible to employees, and located as close as feasible to the immediate area where sharps are used (e.g., patient care areas) or can be reasonably anticipated to be found (e.g., laundries).
What is Pathological waste?
Pathological waste is defined as any human or animal body parts. This can include organs, tissues, surgical specimens and bodily fluids removed during surgery or autopsy and must be properly disposed of in an approved pathological medical waste container.
Is Daniels Health contracted with Major GPO Organizations?
