Kansas Medical Waste Management | Medical & Biohazardous Waste Disposal
Let us introduce ourselves... We are Daniels Health
Who are we? Well in the two decades we have earned a flawless reputation in the US healthcare market as being a groundbreaker - inventing the first reusable sharps container in the world, an innovator - delivering containers, movement solutions, and services that deliver clinical outcomes in healthcare settings, and a thinker - we're simply not content with the idea that healthcare waste services can be managed with the same containers, methodologies and logistical considerations as household garbage. Healthcare waste derived from a clinical setting, needs a clinical solution that protects staff and patients. You may think this is great! But it's going to cost me the earth. The truth is, Daniels has saved healthcare facilities across the United States thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars through its smart approach to healthcare waste management. How we do it?
-
We stay away from the gimmicks. We don't guarantee a 30% saving because we don't know you, what your facility needs are or who your current partner is!
-
We don't scare you with compliance. We have a solution to ensure you're compliant, and we offer advice freely. But we don't make healthcare compliance appear scarier than it should be!
-
We deliver healthcare solutions for every waste stream - pharmaceutical and RCRA (yes, we'll help you navigate hazardous vs non-hazardous waste), regulated medical waste, sharps disposal and chemotherapy waste.
-
We service healthcare facilities of all sizes - Whether you are a family owned physician's office or a multi-site hospital, we have the infrastructure and expertise to deliver excellent service to your facility.
-
We are not tricky. No hidden lines in our contracts, you will never receive a "random" price increase or "you wouldn't believe what has happened..." letter from us.
-
We serve you! Not a broker or a guy with a truck license we met last week. Daniels has its own trucks, transfer stations, processing facilities and ecological treatment to ensure your waste is protected cradle to grave.

Kansas Medical Waste Guidelines
Where there are medical facilities there is also medical and biohazardous waste. The regulations surrounding the disposal of this waste are managed by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. According to these regulations the state defines medical waste as “solid waste materials which are potentially capable of causing disease or injury and which are generated in connection with human or animal care through inpatient and outpatient services.” Medical waste is required to be placed in sealable, leak-proof containers, which must be labeled and/or color-coded with a biohazard label affixed. Once the waste is processed via autoclaving or incineration and deemed safe, it can be mixed with general solid waste and transported to a Municipal Solid Waste Landfill or MSWLF. In regard to unprocessed medical waste, facilities can obtain a “Special Waste Disposal Authorization” and have their medical waste transported separately to a MSWLF. Additionally, the state also requires that medical services wastes be collected daily from the point of origin for transport to a suitable storage or disposal area or processing facility. Daniels Health is a cradle-to-grave healthcare waste management partner that specializes in your local Kansas regulatory compliance.
