COVID-19 How we're
Protecting our People

Our Commitment has always been to put safety first

Daniels Health has over 30 years of experience handling high risk wastes and in so doing, adopting the highest levels of safety protocols to ensure the protection of both hospital staff and our own Daniels staff. From the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic Daniels has (and is continuing to) work with healthcare authorities daily to ensure we’re driving best-practice protocols across our business. Since the outset of the pandemic our services have remained uninterrupted; as an essential service provider we are doing everything we can to ensure continuity of business, which means that we are still hiring! We will continue to add whatever resources are required to better support our staff and our healthcare partners.

Daniels employs a multi-tiered disaster recovery plan that insures all aspects of our business:

Handling COVID-19 Waste. What you need to know

WASTE CLASSIFICATION

COVID-19 waste is classified by the CDC as standard non-infectious medical waste. No additional procedures, packaging or labelling is required for its collection, transport or disposal.

WASTE PACKAGING

Healthcare facilities are responsible for packaging waste securely. Daniels' customers are expected to ensure that all boxes are sealed and bags tied prior to our staff handling them.

RESTRICTED ENTRY

For our field service staff in hospitals, Daniels employees are not required to enter isolation rooms where COVID-19 patients are being treated.

ROBOTIC CONTAINER OPENING

Daniels' purpose-designed robotic washing machinery empties each container via an automated process, eliminating human exposure to container contents.
